University of Lodz was a partner in 5 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects.

We are pleased to inform you that the University of Lodz has become a partner in 5 Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects. The project consortia has been created to carry out student and staff exchanges between the universities from the EU and the Partner Countries, and offer mobility scholarships of various lengths. Erasmus Mundus Action 2 projects with the participation of the University of Lodz:

Starting from Academic Year 2016/17


PUEDES stands for: Participación Universitaria para el Desarrollo Económico y Social en Latinoamerica (University participation for economic and social development in Latin America). The PUEDES consortium is composed of 20 full partner Universities plus 10 associated HEIs and other organizations and institutions. It intends to build a mobility scheme that goes beyond the number of scholarships that may be awarded within the project budget, both for European Union and Latin America students and staff. The positions offered by the EU partners covers all the thematic fields within the call, especially in the areas identified as key priorities to promote University engagement in social and economic development.

Target countries in Latin America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Costa Rica, Cuba, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela
Target countries in Europe: France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Spain, United Kingdom.

EMBER stands for: Erasmus Mundus Broadening Educational Experiences. EMBER is an Erasmus Mundus Action 2 consortium that comprises 20 partner higher education institutions and 4 associated partners from Western/Central/Eastern Europe all the way to the South Caucasus. EMBER concerns itself specifically with the Thematic Fields of Economics, Business, Languages, and Sociology. It envisages a total of 173 mobilities to be completed over three cohorts, 148 mobilities are to 3rd Country Partners, and 25 mobilities to its European Partners. The project has been conceived to provide educational opportunities for Bachelors, Masters, Doctoral, Post-doctoral students, as well as teaching and administrative staff.

Target third countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine.
Target EU countries: Estonia, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Sweden.

EFFORT stands for: Education Force: Driving Mobility for EU – East Europe Cooperation. The project targets all 6 countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine) of Lot 5 and all three target groups. It will provide students and staff from these countries, as well as from EU countries participating in the project, mobility opportunities that will greatly enhance their experiences and provide them with skills that will be valuable for their careers. It consists of two (2) HEI from each one of the Eastern European countries. A special emphasis has been given to the inclusion of HEIs with little or no Erasmus Mundus experience.

Target third countries: Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus.
Target EU countries: Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom.
