Magdeburg students at the University of Lodz – photos!



The University of Lodz had a great pleasure to host a group of 15 German students from partner university Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg between 9-12 May 2013. During a short trip to Poland students and a supervising lector, Ms Agnieszka Zawadzka visited the University of Lodz and the city of Lodz. Students took part in the seminar at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology arranged by Prof. Andrzej Piotrowski, the university agreement coordinator between the University of Lodz and Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg.
On 10 May young visitors participated in two meetings with the IRO officers in the Rector’s office of the UL and with Erasmus Coordinator at the Faculty of International and Political Sciences. Our guests could familiarize with the Erasmus studying condition and students’ facilities at the University of Lodz. The visit was arranged within support of Studienreisen und -praktika von deutschen Studierendengruppen im Ausland offered by DAAD (Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst). We wish and hope to host some of our German guests as Erasmus movers in the next academic year at the University of Lodz :)

Juwenalia!



Dear Students,
the annual Lodz students’ event “Juwenalia” has just started. On Friday and Saturday, the 17th and 18th of May, there will be free concerts for students held in the Lumumbowo student area.
Through the whole week (13-18 May) there are also some accompanying events happening, so come and enjoy this year’s Juwenalia!

Also, during the Juwenalia week (13-19 May), every student that has a valid student ID card can use public transport for free on the following tram and bus services: 12, 15, 43, 50, 55, 57, N4, N7.
